Mitchell Metals is here to assist you in the design phase of a new community as it pertains to CBU mailbox layout that will allow for a pre-engineered aluminum canopy to shelter the mailboxes, homeowners and USPS mail carriers from the elements. Our goal is to provide the information you need to better understand how mailboxes need to be laid out to cover them in the most cost-effective manner.

Based on the number of CBU mailboxes you are covering we have drawings and specifications you can review and download into your amenities package or construction set of drawings. Each drawing shows the concrete pad size, mailbox layout, canopy length, width, height and column/footing layout along with the footing detail based on wind speed in your area.

Our designs use the 16 door USPS approved cluster mailbox. We have 2 designs below you can choose from – Standard and Back-To-Back.  Accessing the drawing is simple, just hover over the image and it will tell you how many CBU units are covered and the number of homes based on 16 slots for each CBU box.
